Our Harvest included food given to The Basement Project in Bromsgrove and gifts of money given to All We Can (the Methodist Relief and Development Fund) which supports people in poorer areas to do things like grow their own crops to create their own bountiful harvest which in turn gives them better lives and more hope for the future.
PEACE SERVICE (Remembrance Sunday evening)
Matthew 5:9: Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God
A prayer for peace
?>It is easy it is to speak of peace,
But it is difficult to work for it;
It is demanding and risky to live as
Yet you ask us to live so that we heal
unite rather than divide,
and work for reconciliation
We have to confess
That we are unwilling to forgive,
We nurse petty grievances
We are preoccupied with self and have
poor regard for others
Lord, forgive us...
...Save us from all that would divide us,
And put a new spirit within us –
A spirit of love and openness,
Acceptance and understanding,
Healing and reconciliation.
May the peace we pray for
begin here and now in our hearts,
and so may we be instruments of your peace,
Jesus Christ came into the world to bring peace, hope and forgiveness.
In loving mercy he says to those who pray for forgiveness
“Your sins are forgiven”
In the name of Christ.
At Christmas, as we remember Christ's birth it was great to welcome a special visitor - baby Jeremiah (with Mom and Dad) from Denmark.
"0 and 5" celebrations!
During the year many people celebrated birthdays or anniversaries ending in a zero or five, so we had a party to celebrate them!
